2026 Leadership Carlsbad Application

On behalf of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, we appreciate your interest in the Leadership Carlsbad Program. We believe that Carlsbad is a wonderful community, and that is in large part due to the leadership shown by individuals such as yourself in local businesses, civic and non-profit organizations. October 16: Non-Profit November 20: Education Day December 18: Economic Development January 15: Law enforcement/Justice February 19: Healthcare Day March 19: Government & Public Policy April 16: Tourism May 12: Graduation
A few important items applicants should consider before applying:
• Must be at least 21 years old by the social in September.
• Must have full support of employer and employing organization
• Must attend a Friday & Saturday workshop.(September 25 & September 26)
• Must be available to participate in the nine-month program
• Expected to attend each monthly session September through May
Class participants are selected primarily based upon the written application. Express yourself clearly and concisely in the written application and take time to complete the application fully. Only twenty (20) candidates are selected for each class, so freely brag about your accomplishments!
The cost of the program is $450 plus a $50 application fee (total fee of $500), which is due prior to the orientation retreat. The selection committee will be selecting the class in August after which you will be contacted regarding your application. Good luck, and again, thank you for your interest.
