We believe that Carlsbad is a wonderful community\, and that is in large part due to the leadership shown by individuals such as yourself in local businesses\, civic and non-profit organizations. A few important items applicants should consider before applying: Must be at least 21 years old by the social in September. Must have full support of employer and employing organization Must be available to participate in the nine-month program Expected to attend each monthly session September through May Must commit to participating in Leadership Carlsbad activities activities include selecting a Community Enhancement project\, developing goals and objectives\, identifying resources\, creating an implementation plan\, and reporting on the outcome at graduation Must attend a Friday & Saturday workshop. Class participants are selected primarily based upon the written application. Express yourself clearly and concisely in the written application and take time to complete the application fully. Only twenty (20) candidates are selected for each class\, so freely brag about your accomplishments! The cost of the program is $450 plus a $50 application fee (total fee of $500)\, which is due prior to the orientation retreat.
